Assistive Technology covers a wide variety of devices and equipment that help people to do many things that otherwise they could not do because of a disability. This includes simple devices to help a consumer dress, durable medical equipment such as a wheelchair that helps someone to be mobile, or more advanced technology that allows someone with difficulty speaking to communicate by means of a computer system.
“IN works with the whole person. The computer assistance I received enables me to attend college.
My circle of support, led by an IN staff member, gives me the help I need to meet my goals.”
